Merchandising Analyst

• The position provides financial decision support for Merchandising to help maximize the profit potential by analyzing inventory risks and opportunities and implementing inventory allocation strategies.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conducts overall sales projection, provides and interprets sales report analysis
2. Checks and monitors buying and purchases according to sales forecast.
3. Streamlines the flow of merchandise by providing the company with sound recommendation on order management and stock allocation.
4. Recommends buying for categories according to budget and inventory on hand. Provides guidance about selling patterns, timing of future purchases and purchasing philosophies.
5. Monitors store category sales and supervises physical inventory.
6. Generates royalties report to IBML.
7. Monitors and reports repeat orders, damaged and aging of items.
8. Examines the effectiveness of the promotions for both apparel and underwear and recommends items for markdown and its pricing.
9. Confirms and cancels Stock Request, pull-outs, second codes, reclassification of goods and price change according to approval of manager.
10.  Monitors and confirms Stock Issuance Slip for both apparel and underwear.
11.  Performs other tasks that may be delegated by the immediate head.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education

College Degree :

• Business Administration, Management, Accountancy, Mathematics, Economics or other related courses

Work Experience: 

• At least three (3) years experience in retail, sales or operations 

Competencies:

• Sales forecasting
• Inventory Control and Allocation
• Organized, detailed and able to understand merchandising
• Very good analysis skills and in interpretation of numbers
• Good communication, reporting and presentation skills ( written & verbal)
• Computer-literate, proficient in MS Office required in manipulating data and report information
• Good business and management skills

Trainings Needed:

• Basic product orientation
• Basic concession operations procedures
