Skechers and The David Cook Experience

A huge crowd of more than 40,000 went to see two Davids in a Goliath of a concert last May 16 at the Mall of Asia open grounds.  Skechers’ global endorser, American Idol David Cook, took centerstage as did sensational heartthrob David Archuleta in one of the most anticipated concerts to ever take place in the country.

Skechers,  was right in the middle of all the excitement—giving one very lucky girl the one-in-a-lifetime chance to meet David Cook and David Archuleta in person, and VIP tickets to the concert!

Young and pretty Yasmin and her very supportive mom were all smiles when they were taken backstage by Skechers before the concert to meet the two Davids.  Recalls Yasmin, “I was screaming at the top of my lungs!”—referring to her reaction when Skechers called to inform her she won the Skechers David Cook Experience promo.  She adds, “I told David Cook that my grandma was a BIG fan, and David Archuleta was laughing in the background.”  Now that’s quite an enviable experience!

Other fans were also treated to David Cook freebies by Skechers during the concert at the brand’s on-site booths, with guys and girls of all ages trying to get a piece of the limited-edition “I heart David Cook” pin buttons.  The Skechers David Cook posters were likewise sought-after concert souvenirs.

But the biggest treat obviously was getting to watch David Cook and David Archuleta perform live.  Everybody had the time of their lives.  Ironically, “Time of my life” was the most anticipated song David Cook forgot to sing.  Well, hopefully that will be a good reason for him to come back soon.
